JAZZ NEEDS A SHELTER

Thanks to community support we have committed to giving Jazz a forever home at Cranky’s FARM.

Jazz has lived a hard life, ultimately resulting in her loosing one of her eyes and suffering reduced body condition. Our aim is to give Jazz the best life we possibly can.

We believe to achieve this Jazz MUST have a safe, secure, shelter to call her own.  Often it is believed that equine are quite self-sufficient and can live out in paddocks without shelter, however, our past experience has shown us that this is not what is best for the individual.  Horses, in particular, need a safe space of their own, one which can protect them from weather and keep them safe from harm.  All of our equine have their own space and all are put to bed at night with their dinner to keep them safe.

Aside from a safe space to spend the night, shelters provide a safe space to receive treatment for, and recuperate from illness as well as a place to safely receive those regular treatments all equine require throughout their life (dental and hoof care).

Sadly, due to lose of sponsorship and increased running costs, mostly as a result of the weather and Australia’s financial predicament, we are struggling to be able to afford to build Jazz’s shelter. Will you help us make sure Jazz has a safe space to call her own? Any contribution of $5 or more will help us achieve this goal for Jazz?

Below is the type of shelter we are aiming to build:

We have been offered a great discount on this shelter by Bow’s Barn who are a Queensland provider of all things wonderful for equine.
