Ferdinand is a gentle 6-year-old Santa Gertrudis bull who came into our care after facing the terrifying prospect of being sent to the cattle sales. Thanks to an incredible community effort,
Ferdinand was rescued and has since undergone hormone treatment and castration so he can safely move on to a permanent sanctuary home.
Unfortunately, the sanctuary that committed to taking Ferdinand is now unable to receive him until September. Until then, Ferdinand remains in our care at Cranky’s FARM where we are providing 100% of his feed and ongoing care.
At approximately 800kg, Ferdinand consumes around $175 worth of hay every week. Sponsorship is urgently needed to help cover his feed, care and maintenance costs over the coming months so we can keep him safe until his forever sanctuary placement becomes available.
