Lilah’s Rescue Story

Lilah had spent her whole young life living in a suburban household with no other goats. She was very much loved and well cared for, but goats are deeply social animals who thrive in the company of their own kind. Spending her days alone in a backyard was not ideal for her wellbeing.

As Lilah grew, she began calling out more and more for the companionship she longed for. Her cries did not go unnoticed, and soon the neighbours began to complain about the noise. Understanding that Lilah deserved the best possible life, her carers made the compassionate decision to surrender her to Cranky’s FARM. Thanks to their kindness, she now has the opportunity to live her natural life surrounded by friends and with the care she truly needs.

On 10 September 2025, at just one year old, Lilah officially became part of the Cranky’s FARM family.

Lilah lives under permanent foster care in Toogoolawah, where she is cared for by her dedicated foster carers, Jess and Adam. She shares her foster home with a small herd of mini goats, Summer, who was rescued in February 2023 and two of our beloved cattle, Marley and Fern.

Just like every resident at Cranky’s FARM, Lilah’s care is financially provided for by the sanctuary. Her health, welfare, and wellbeing are overseen according to our guidelines, procedures, and protocols, ensuring she receives the same high standard of care as those living at the main sanctuary.

Lilah has already begun to show her sweet personality, and we are so grateful that she will always have the safety, love, and security she deserves.
