Ticks and flies are a major issue at the sanctuary between October – April each year.

At Cranky’s we follow a strict program of tick prevention designed by our large animal veterinarian.

Our tick prevention program begins and is at its most intensive at the end of August and continues through to March.

In total, our prevention program costs around $1000 a year.

When you purchase a bottle of Ivermetcin pour on are helping to keep the Cranky cattle free of these nasty little parasites and, in turn, helping to reduce the risk to the other resident of tick related issues which can result in death.
