Did you know that pigs like to eat hay?

When people think of what pigs like to eat they usually think of fruit and vegetables but pigs, like humans, love a wide variety of foods, including fruit, vegetables, grains, grass and even cake and chocolate!

To keep our piggies happy and healthy we like to give them as much variety in their diet as practicable, which is why we offer them hay.  People often think it’s odd to see a pig eating hay but they love it and it’s a good source of energy, fibre and protein for them.

When you buy a small bale of hay for the piggies you, too, are helping to keep them happy and healthy.
