🎉 Jimmy Has Found His Forever Home!
We are absolutely thrilled to share the wonderful news that our cheeky, energetic donkey Jimmy has been officially adopted into his forever home! 🫏💚
As many of you know, Jimmy is a young donkey full of life, affection, and endless energy. While he was much loved here at Cranky’s FARM, he often felt a little out of place — being so much younger and livelier than our other equine residents. We knew Jimmy would be happiest in a home where he could have true donkey friends his own age to play and grow up with.
Thanks to the support of our amazing community, Jimmy’s perfect family has been found. He now has the companionship, space, and care he needs to live a joyful, enriched life — exactly what every animal deserves.
This adoption is not just a happy ending for Jimmy; it’s a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Every adoption makes space for us to rescue and care for more animals in need, while also ensuring that our residents have the happiest lives possible.

In mid-2024 we were told about a young donkey called Jimmy who was in big trouble and needed help. He was suffering from painful hoof wall separation, sometimes called White Line Disease, a condition where the hoof wall detaches from the underlying structures. Untreated this condition can lead to death.
Sadly, Jimmy had been suffering with this for many years without proper care and treatment.
After much negotiation Jimmy’s owners finally agreed to surrender him to sanctuary.
Jimmy arrived at Cranky’s FARM on 22 February 2025.
He is now receiving the care and attention his needs to regain his mental, physical and hoof health.
Jimmy will require a significant amount of hoof rehabilitation and we could really use your help to ensure we are able to provide him with all the care he needs to live a full, long, happy and healthy life.
