Fiona passed away peacefully on 8 April 2026 at 6:30pm, at almost 8 years of age, following a short period of lameness caused by suspected nerve damage.
Fiona was a gentle, resilient soul who knew safety, kindness and love during her time with us. Her son, Rayne, remains at Cranky’s FARM were he will spend the remainder of his days, never knowing the “production” life of a cow. For that we are additionally grateful. Fiona will be missed every day. 💛

My name is Fiona.
I am a Bradford heifer and I was born in November 2017.
Bradley, who has lived at Cranky’s FARM since October 2018 is my full brother.
On 20 April 2020 I, along with my paddock mates; Justin and Jimmy were due to go on a truck to the cattle sales. We would have been pushed and prodded, yelled at, bid on and separated. We would have been sold, no doubt, for meat.
Thankfully, instead, a whole lot of people got together to raise money to save us from that fate and now we will live at Cranky’s FARM, together, until the end of our natural days.
